  1. Interesting how the album from Masike"Funky" Mohapi, here goes under the name Funky Masike.Artist's prerogative I suppose.I recently bought the Harari Greatest Hits Vol.2 and have totally fallen for the track,Soweto Sunset.Even though Jazz and it's crosspolynations is my great love,I certainly have a soft spot for "cheesy" Disco,Soul and Funk. Most probably from growing up with Springbok Hits.Anyway ,this is a great site and is certainly adds to the very patchy catalogue of South African music. Greetings Koos

  3. I stumbled on this blog accidentally, I must say, it has some golden oldies that reminds me of the longway back of my youth with nostalgie. But I can proceed may I ask if you have of the following late and early 90's music. Chico Chimora's (Mayibuye, Eli Eli); Sammy of (Give me my wages)fame ; Pamela Nkutha of Muranziwa wa manano fame. Clement Malola (zimbabwe? maybe)

  4. Hi Clement,
Thanks! Unfortunately I don't have any of the stuff you mentioned. Only Zim stuff I've got at the moment is the Bhundu Boys' Jit Jive and a German ZANU fundraising LP. These and a lot more albums will be up on the site in the next week or two. I'll be coming to Zimbabwe later this year. Let me know if you have any ideas about where to find old vinyl. In the meantime, I'll keep my eyes open for Chico Chimora, Sammy and Pamela Nkutha. Cheers.
